SASC returns to the Breede River for first Zambezi shark expedition of 2010

On January 21st 2010, SASC will be returning to the Breede River in an attempt to learn more about the elusive Zambezi (bull) sharks that occur in this estuarine system on the southwest coast of South Africa. With the assistance of some experienced anglers, SASC will attempt to capture, tag and track three Zambezi sharks as part of our larger Breede River Zambezi shark study.

This is an exciting new direction for SASC and our research programmes, and we hope our upcoming 2-week field trip is successful.

Stay tuned to hear how the trip went...
